AutoJet
Technologies, a division of Spraying Systems
Co., has introduced an upgradeable tank cleaning system
that is precisely controlled to ensure maximum cleaning
efficiency. The four basic components in the AutoJet
Tank Cleaning System are: a Spraying Systems
Co. tank washer or tank cleaning nozzle, a control panel
containing an AutoJet Spray Controller, a specially selected
pump and an engineered process control package. The system
is field upgradeable to add both chemical injection and
liquid recirculation features to automatically maintain
consistent tank cleaning results.
“The key to designing an effective tank cleaning
system is selecting the right tank washing nozzle and
then building a system around it,” said Dave Foley,
vice president of AutoJet Technologies. “As a division
of Spraying Systems Co., we have a complete line of tank
cleaning nozzles to suit a customer’s needs and
our turnkey systems offer a state-of-the art controller
that increases productivity and decreases maintenance
downtime.”
The AutoJet Tank Cleaning System is built around
the Model 2250 AutoJet Spray Controller and is powered
by patent-pending Spray Logic™ software. Multiple
cleaning cycles and multiple tank wash routines
can be initiated with push button control. The controller
provides an operator interface that allows easy programming
and adjustment of settings such as liquid pressure and
flow rate. The AutoJet Spray Controller monitors the system
and can be programmed to shut down on specified faults.
With chemical injection and liquid recirculation upgrades,
the AutoJet Tank Cleaning System offers greater flexibility
than most automated tank washing systems. Accurate chemical
injection can greatly improve the consistency and effectiveness
of the wash. AutoJet Systems can also be equipped to recirculate
liquid in a closed loop, allowing the reuse of a portion
or all water and cleaning chemical solutions. Less water
and chemical usage means lower disposal costs.
The AutoJet Tank Cleaning System features multistage centrifugal
pumps up to 160 gpm (605 1/min) at 175 psi (12 bar). Piston
and plunger pumps, single stage sanitary pumps and single-stage
ANSI chemical pumps are also available. The process control
package includes 24VDC diaphragm and globe valves, spring
loaded ball cone check valves, pressure switches, pressure
regulators and liquid strainers.
